Tomorrow exceptional communications crossroads
Modern, accessible and frequent transport: this is what Plaine Commune asked for in 2000.
And this project is nearly finished. For our territorial inhabitants, but also for those who will be called upon to come: employees of our companies, students, research workers from the entire world and tourists. Tomorrow, Plaine Commune will be better linked to other decision-making centres such as Paris and La Defense. And it will be easier to go from one town to another by car.
The Saint-Denis-Pleyel station has become a key interconnection

In 2020, the automatic underground line linking the Orly and Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airports on a north-south axis, and the other automatic underground line between Chelles and Versailles-La Defense, in an east-west axis will cross each other here. The Pleyel interconnection will be reinforced in 2022 by a new high-speed train station linking the north of Europe, and which aims to limit the saturation of Parisian train stations.
Also planned:

UNDERGROUND

» Line 12 will be extended up to Aubervilliers (three stops: one which will be finished in 2012 and the two others in 2016). Then to the Stains-La Cerisaie train station.

 

» Doubling and extending line 13 to the Stains-La Cerisaie train station. This project is even more urgent as the territory will soon be the home to thousands of new employees, especially in Pleyel, Plaine Saint-Denis and Landy France.

 

» Extension of line 7 to the Bourget exhibition park.

 

TRAMWAY

In 2014:

» Tramway T1: extension of the line from Saint-Denis to Asnieres-Genevilliers
» Tramway T5: creation of the Saint-Denis-Pierrefitte-Sarcelles line
» Tramwaiy T8 (Tram’Y): creation of the Porte de Paris-Saint-Denis-Epinay-sur-Seine and Porte de Paris-Saint-Denis-Villetaneuse lines

 

TRAINS

The Northern Tangent, a new high-speed line in the northern part of Ile-de-France, from suburb to suburb, will link Sartrouville to Noisy-le-Sec. For Plaine Commune, the cities of Epinay-sur-Seine, Villetaneuse, Pierrefitte-sur-Seine and Stains will be served beginning in 2014.

Linking Saint-Denis to La Defense faster than by taking the bus or using your car, especially during rush hours!
